Default Crystal light

Crystals by kaz.par.avion, on Flickr
Where Was it Taken?
On my dark wooden dinning table with a black soft box as a backdrop. Light source was a small very cheap LED torch light.

What settings did you use?
Aperture - f22
ISO - 800
White Balance - 6250 °K

What gear (camera, lens etc) did you use?
Canon 5D MKII & 50mm

Why did you compose the shot as you did?
I turned the crystals to catch the most possible light and then composed the shot to make sure there was plenty of negative space.

What post production work have you done on the shot (if any)?
A bit of brightening and contrast PP.

What were you hoping to achieve with the shot?
An entry to another forum's "collection" challenge. Wasn't sure what I would end up with.

What did you do well?
I love the colour.

How could you have improved it?
More intense colour maybe or try a gel on the torch.

This small part broke from one of my minerals while I was washing them. I used my phone's LED flash for light source.
