It's amazing how you get different refractions for different angles and light sources.

Here's one I did back in Dec 2009 with just natural light coming through the window.

Thanks for the tuts. Always well put together.

Unhappy My Attempt!!!

This is my 1st attempt at this. It didn't really work for me I think this is because I didn't have a filter for the glare. I'm sure I'm not doing something else right as well but I feel that was my biggest problem. The second picture was taken using:-
Aperture f22
Shutter 20secs
ISO 100
Mag light
& a white cloth to diffuse the light as it was very bright (this is why i needed a filter really!)

I agree. I think it was you not having a filter and that maybe the lens wasn't close enough. You can get some really cool photos doing techniques like these, so don't give up!
