I thought since the supermoon is tomorrow, I would make a simplified version on how to photograph the moon. I know theres a few threads out there, that have similar info. And I would also urge you to look at them as well, after reading this one.
My equipment Canon Rebel T2I Tamron75mm - 300mm lens Tripod Remote Photowatermark Professional A few things you will need to keep in mind
I set my camera up on my tripod, before I brung it outside. And I attached the remote to it as well. I did this, because when it is dark outside, it is hard to mess around with your equipment. I went to my backyard, set the tripod up in the middle of the yard, so I had a clear view of the moon. I extended my 300mm lens, to the full length of 300mm I tuned the camera to the following settings (settings may vary depending on conditions, lighting, camera types, lenses) but they are usually close to my settings. F 5.6 1/320 ISO varied on several photos, you will need to experiment Manual Mode Auto Focus I used the remote, to photograph the moon. This helps eliminate camera shaking I uploaded the photo to my computer, cropped it, to bring it closer. I then put it in Photo Watermark Professional, to add my watermarks Yes, it is that simple! I hope this helps you for tomorrows SUPERMOON! I am looking forward to seeing everyone's photos tomorrow! ![]() I took this photo last night, in preparation for tomorrow's event of the supermoon.
