Default Watergun is super effective?

Hey everyone. I'm pretty new to Digital Photography School so please bear with me ^^;

Just in case anyone can't see the photo above, here is the link of where it's from (it won't show up when I preview it).

Browsing deviantART

So! Back to business.

Nikon D5000, 55mm,
ISO 200
10/2000 sec. with a flash
F/5.6

Tape wouldn't work to get it to stay in place while the water was running so I had a small piece of clay and a cloth to dry off the spot where I wanted Pikachu.

It took me about 30 or so shots because the water would usually cast shadows over Pikachu's face.

All I did for editing was the boost in the colors and the square cropping (I love squares btw and my gallery is filled with them haha).

This is exactly what I was looking for in this photo. I had countless positive feedback in deviantArt (the art site I use) and it was a total hit!

Any comments/feedback would be greatly appreciated.
