Thumbs up Flying through the Super Market

If your like me and can't stand the super market, I highly recommend bringing your camera and having some fun while there For this image I was going for a panning effect and the toothpaste isle made for the best color streaking background I figured. I wedged my Canon 5D Mark II and the Canon EF 15mm f/2.8 Fisheye Lens into the triangle handle of the baby car seat. The car seat was on top of the shopping cart in the normal position it goes in. I was jogging down the isle with my finger on the shutter trying to make Layla smile at the same time. It turns out I needed a shutter speed of about 1/10th for the panning to look cool, so I set the camera in Tv mode at 1/10th of a second and fired away! Most of the shots came out blurry, but a few turned out ok.

Layla on the Move:

Here is another a took for fun with the camera on top of some groceries.

In a Hurry at the Market:

Best,
Jay

Very creative and unique!

as an fyi, some stores have a no photography policy and they may ask you to put away your camera while shopping.

Those are great. Imagination is the key to certain photography and you captured that. I will have to try this. Thanks so much for sharing.

Thanks for the comments

I'm pretty sure it's a no camera policy in almost any retail store these days. I kept it low between shots, and we were there in the early morning

Best,
Jay

Wow! Those are amazing! And might I add, cute baby. We have a baby girl due in August and the name we picked is Layla.

most supermarkets still do...now they don't generally care too much about you taking pics of your kid and stuff...what they want to stop is vendors or the competition coming in and photographing displays, prices, shelf scematics etc... I only mentioned it for the would-be photographer who attempts to recreate your cool shots and is asked not to -it is private property after all...maybe the bottom line is discretion - . I don't think the tripod and OCF is gonna fly.
