Default balloons - a whimsical example

balloons

Many years ago one Winter morning, I arose long before dawn to photograph hundreds of hot air balloons taking off at the Masonic Temple, Toledo, OH, with my Pentax K1000 camera.

When the film was developed, I saw many wonderful, colorful images, but none pleased me more than this one; scanned recently from the print made over 30 years ago; much as I had imagined just after lift off. Noting their southerly direction, I hopped in my car and drove feverishly the 13 miles to Perrysburg just in time to capture this virtually colorless composition:

Upon two conditions:

1. Turn off your strobe, it is making me ill; and
2. Tell me how; I tried to do it but it didn't show up.

I had assumed the flikr link I posted would allow viewers to see the image. Apparently not so.

Go to your Flickr account. At the top of your image you'll see a tab that says "Share this" Click on grab the hmtl code. Make sure you choose the medium size from the drop down tab underneath that. Copy that code you see and paste it here!

Thank you. I shall try that in the future.

Having said that, for the record I will state that you have failed to turn of that annoying stobe!

Hi EagleSpirit,

To answer your question, not knowing how to post the HTML code within a post (I'm very new to this forum), I instead posted the url itself. Yesterday, thanks to the moderator, I learned how to do it and then went back and edited my original post.

Consequently, it was not originally visible, and it now is as a result of this little learning experience.

Awesome concept CJ.
I would not have the foresight to visualize this image 13 miles away.

Well done.

Hi Bakeys,

Little did I realize at the time, that I was like Richard Dryfus in Close Encounters of the Third Kind, making a Devils' Tower out of his mashed potatoes.....

Look at these forms. Think green. .... That's right, Broccoli Boy.... You guessed it!!!

broccoli bonsai for my biker buddy bakeys

YA BABY: THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKIN' ABOUT !!
