First steps into Macro Photography

Hi.

I just went out around my town for some hiking last weekend. I was carrying my Canon Powershot SX130 and, since I was practicing some MP, a few days ago, I wanted to try my first wild Macro pic. So here is it:

I know very well that my camera is not a high quality DSLR, but I'm still learning and maybe when I master the principles of advanced photography, I will get a DSLR.

So what do you think guys? I have still too much to learn but I'm working on it =).

good attempt...the cut off yellowish thorn? bothers me...a bit closer and you could have elimated it from the foreground....Nice background and the drops bring the spider? lines to the eye. Don't apoligize for your camera....get to know what it will do and you can create awesome work.
