![]() Shadows by JEF 96, on Flickr This was taken at the same time as my Tunnel Vision shot, simply have the torches in a different position to cast the shadows. If you want to see how simple it is to create, see my tutorial here: Tunnel Vision Any comment you are kind enough to make are most welcome.

Every moment of it, Jeff, every moment of it. I am not quite done with this idea you have thrown up. I intend to experiment further. Today I diffused the leds with a wet tissue paper. I intend to try tomorrow using naked LED lights so the shadows are sharper and a diffused led to backlight the glasses as you taught in the tunnel vision thread. Lets see where it takes us....

Enjoy, I look forward to seeing your results
![]() If you want stronger edged shadows, increase the distance between the light source and the subject without the diffusers

I'm thinking of writing a book on this kind of thing to show all the simple secrets behind the scenes - do you think there's a market for that kind of book?

Oh yes, I think the market does exist. And a pretty big one too. But people are touchy these days of spending big money on books since so much freeware is available on the net anyway. I was buying "Understanding Exposure - by Brian Petterson", when all and sundry tried to convince me that I could get a pdf version for free and shouldn't squander my cash. I went ahead and placed my order for the real thing, but many wont.
And printing photos is expensive. So the trick would be to be able to publish an attractive enough package but price it at the lower shelf level, so even beginners wont think too long to part the cash. but thats just my take on it. A publisher may come up with many more tricks than I have heard of. But the bottom line is "Yes, there are hungry people out there, wanting to learn, and they would love these do-it-yourself books".
