Default Car trails at Hoover Dam

One of my first shots with my camera. Set up on the edge of the highest parking lot on the Arizona side of the Hoover dam on a relatively slow traffic evening. Set the camera to bulb and opened up the shutter to capture the cars. Took many shots to fine tune the exposure and shutter timing. Speed limit is slow so I had to keep it open longer to get good flowing trails. A little more fine tuning in Photoshop and this is the result, enjoy.

Great photo, but my question is.....how did you luck upon a slow traffic day? Everytime I try to cross the dam it's a parking lot!

Thanks. It just happened to be a random Saturday evening... I grabbed the camera and headed down to capture some pics of the Mike O'Callaghan – Pat Tillman bridge and hung out for a while after dark. Traffic was light and no one was stopping since they close the dam to pedestrians after dark.

Here are a few more from that night. I was experimenting so they aren't the best as far as framing and composition. These are straight out of the camera.
