Default Experiment with Candle!!

Candle Experiment

Here's how I took it..

1.candle was placed on a pink glowing paper usually used for decorations..
2.A white LED torch..for lighting on the candle...I had hold it on the top
3. Adjust the exposure bias to a lower value
Exif

Exposure 0.004 sec (1/250)
Aperture f/2.7
Focal Length 4.7 mm
ISO Speed 80
Exposure Bias -1.3 EV

I cant do anything with exif as I am having a P&S...just -1.3 EV everything else on auto

One thing... You can use it for Birthdays..

I haven't tried photographing a candle flame yet and would have guessed it would have taken a much higher EV than f/2.7 at 1/250.. and with a -1.3 EV at that!

Maybe for some birthdays this would work, but for mine, I'm afraid, the number of LED torches needed would bankrupt me and the heat from the candles might damage my equipment.

But seriously, nice to have a starting set of parameter values for candle photography.
