Default £9 Seamless black background

I'm new to this forum and so far I've asked a couple of questions and got no replies.. So maybe I have to give some input first.

Anyway, I wanted to be able to shoot some videos in my home recording studios and also be able to take pictures there to. I thought a black background would be best and I purchased a 1m x 12m roll of that stuff which stops weeds growing through your garden from B and Q and pinned it to the walls like so.

I then just got an ordinary lamp and positioned it where I liked it and ended up with this image.

I'm happy with it and I did it extremely cheap, thought I'd just show people incase they wanted to do this kind of thing too!

Thanks

As you can see it's a Canon 500D.

Very nice! Great idea.

I think that you could really make it pop with some post shoot processing.

Hey welcome to the forum and thanks for the idea! I think we all can agree that we wanna save money lol. Your final result turned out good too, I also agree some PP would make it look even better. Keep up the good work and look forward to seein you around.

i like it - great idea on how to go cheaper - i spent $60 on a "professional" black background but i have a hard time keeping it wrinkle free. the garden black is great i'm thinking about going pick up some of this stuff.

I just got a unshiny piece of black fabric. Its one that wont wrinkle and cost me 14 dollars for a 8 x 16 ft piece from a fabric store. jut go look in the upholstery and cheep stuff and feel for the right fabric that will look good and wont take wrinkles. If you dont know how just ask for a wrinkleless fabic.
