Default Macro attempt

One day while I was watching tv I noticed water drops on the chilled water bottle that looked fascinating. I picked my Sony camera and shot this. I liked two of them. Do tell if you liked it or it's just okay or anything you wanna say. Please do share how you liked it and how I could have improved it. This is my first post on the forum. Looking forward to making lots of new friends and learn!

I love this! The blues are beautiful and I feel cool and refreshed just looking at it.

I can't get a DSLR, but I love photography and long to learn to understand camera settings and how to take the best shots I can. I've been reading on this site for weeks. I welcome any and all suggestions on how to get creative with a point and shoot.

Hi myfirstmic, I used a sony cybershot DSCH-20 camera. that's the only cam I have right now. Here are the details of the pic
ISO 100
Shutter speed 1/15
F 8.0

Thank you Keyona, you and I share the same camera. I think it's a great cam only thing that I find missing in it is the viewfinder as the battery life isn't great. But you can create great pictures with it if you've just started like myself.

Here's another one with a different angle and settings found on the same water bottle. I'm glad my first picture that I shared on the forum were liked. That gives me encouragement. Please do share how you feel about this one compared to the one above.

Ice crater? Moon? It's a water bottle

ISO 200
1/50
F3.5
Sony DSC-H20

How neat that we have the same camera, upadhyay.ved and I feel even better about my purchase after seeing the results you're getting with it.

Though I personally prefer the first shot (the blue adds such a cooling effect) the second one has a neat texture, like a clear blue crocodile skin or little, irregular-shaped tiles, and I like the darker areas on the ends and lightness in the middle.

Now I'm really excited about getting more familiar with my camera and learning what it can really do.

I agree. The first one's great and has this warmth to it, even though it's a bottle of cold water

Thank you guys. Initially I had liked the second pic because of its sharp look but I agree too the first one has a strange soothing feeling to it. It almost gave me an impression of some island with lots of bubble mountains and the sea
The second pic I felt looked like the moon crater with blue color
