This a a picture just taken of my newborn son.
I tried for the first time to experiment with shaped bokeh, in this case shaped as a pacifier. I used a desk lamp (see the reflection in his eye) to highlight his face and for the pacifiers I hung up some x-mas lights in the background. I placed him according to the rule of thirds. Equipment: Nikon D300, Manfroto tripod, Nikkor 50mm f 1/1.4G. Information on shaped bokeh see: DIY - Create Your Own Bokeh | DIYPhotography.net

That is a really neat bokeh effect! Thanks for the link on the how-to.
Congratulations on the birth of your son, and this wonderful photo

Yeah, remind yourself often. The years slip by so damned fast. You will regret every picture you didn't take, and you will see all of them in you mind one day. Grin. I know.
JDPelfrey PS. My computer is FULL of my Grandaughters Pics. Because I know what I lost as my daughter was growing up. Just to let you know...... Last edited by jpel3500; 08-19-2010 at 11:50 PM. Reason: PS afterthought. |
