Default Tripodless Pano from a moving boat!

OK, being one to always like a challenge, when a client came to me last week with a vision of a panorama of their resort here in The Bahamas, I said I'd do it.

The downside is that the panorama would need to be taken handheld, from a boat in a less than calm ocean.

So, there I was 1/2 a mile offshore in what most would consider a bit of wood with an engine on the back, precariously balanced on the bow, trying to direct the driver where to go while remaining acutely aware I was one small wave from taking my 7D for a relaxing swim in the ocean.

The end result was stitched together from 5 final shots, resulting in a rather tasty 38 megapixel image (I'm pretty sure I could print it near lifesize!)

Compass Point Panorama

Tripods? Who needs 'em?!
