For the weeks photography assignment, we had to take something involving shadows. I had seen the concept before, so I googled it, and decided I'd try and do something to tribute my mom. Got the bracelet, set up the book under the lamp, and took some pictures. I took about 15 and then realized I was going to have to move the lamp to weigh down the shadow, So i decided to align the bottom tip to the bottom crease in the book.

For post production, I used levels to wash the shadows out a bit, color balance to add more pink, and a warming photo filter to compliment the pinks. I later decided to highlight some of the words in the book in Photoshop.

I am totally surprise how you made heart pic by using ring in the middle of the book.Its awesome!I am really astonish would you will to share with us about this trick?

Nice use and well duplicated of the "heart shaped shadow" so often seen used by wedding photographers.

One question I have is how the cancer bracelet has something to do with the words in the book which seems to relate to crystal meth use? I'm not challenging you, I just don't see it.
