Default Love in the air

I took this picture from Sony DSC-H9 in London two weeks back. I was taking snaps of pegions flying around.... I thought why not to take it in an angle where I can have it jsut behind a couple.... I did manage to click it.... but the picture loosed the focus & it was not what I really wanted to....did a bit of editing n now it is atleast presentable.... I want to get your view how you take a tricky shot....n did u like the editing??? If not, then what would you think would have been the best editing for this pic.....

This will probably need to be moved to the processed critique forum, as it seems you would rather have it critiqued than to explain how you took it.
However, it is interesting, and you have a good idea, but I would try to lose the blur. It is a little too much for my taste. Do you have the SOOC image to compare it to? I would like to see exactly what it was you didn't like about the original.

Thanks, I got it. If it were me, the first thing I would do is straighten the horizon. I know it makes the people on the bridge look crooked, but I think it helps the composition. I would then crop the unnecessary bits out. I would just use a nice S curve to up the contrast a bit. Not much though, I quite like the mood of this particular image. If you want the focus to be on the couple and the pigeon, I would add a new layer and vignette it around just the couple. It will take the attention off of the rest of the distractions without going over the top. Your eyes naturally go to the brightest part of an image.
Here is an example of how I would do it. I can take it down if you wish.
