Default 5 Minute product photography (Easy)

Camera: Canon EOS 50D
Exposure: 0.6
Aperture: f/5.6
Focal Length: 51 mm
ISO Speed: 100
Exposure Bias: 0 EV
Lens: 18-55mm

Items needed:
Poster board (or other solid white bendable surface)
Pane of glass (or mirror)

One question I get a lot is how to take professional looking product shots with reflections. Here is how.

1. Take the poster board and lay it against the wall so that it forms a curvy "L" shape from the wall to the floor. This serves as a seamless background and helps reflect light.

2. Place the pane of glass (or mirror) on the poster board.

3. Arrange the desired product on top of the glass to where it reflects nicely and achieves the look you are after. That's it!

Have fun!

Your shot looks fine..

From the 0.6s exposure time, I guess you didn't use flash, did you?

I don't wanna be rude, but there are some parts on the shot, which I don't like.
- The bracelet has no structure at all, its just black.. A flash from the right side could improve this.. I have the impression, that one can see more details in the reflection of the bracelet than in the real bracelet..
- There is a strange shadow below the watch (I guess you didn't used a flash and the light was coming from top).. The result of this shadow, I that the reflection doesn't look smooth..

This are the two parts parts I don't like on that picture, but as I mentioned at the beginning, the picture is great..

critique is always a good thing, don't be afraid to tell someone about how they might be able to improve their photos. I always love when I get critique on my stuff, good or bad. helps me learn

On top of what pascalbovet.com said, I don't recommend using a pane of glass for the reflection. White acrylic, like plexiglass, will be more effective. The glass will give you double relflections, once off the top layer of glass and another off the bottom of the glass. Plexiglass won't do this. You will have only 1 nice looking reflection.
