Hey everyone..
Just sharing a new thing (to me) I do. It's a different take on portraits. I take the subject and photograph them in a segmented fashion moving from their head to their feet moving the camera down as I shoot the lower parts of their body. I don't simply pan the camera downwards, and by the last shot (of their feet), I'm actually laying on the ground. As I move the camera down, I twist is and move it just a bit so that when I stitch them all together, the frame is "off"... And yes, I intended for the stitching to be a big 'off' as well. Plus it would have been damn near impossible to do with while actually changing the position of the camera. The goal was to do a portrait in a different way, and to screw a bit with your perspective. It's an ongoing project, so if you like it, check back for more. ![]() Portrait Montage Project Or my blog post where I wrote about it: Magical Montage Portrait Photography | Al Borrelli Photography Hope you find it as interesting as I did doing it. I love these stitch portraits. Something you only usually see people doing with architectural and landscape shots. :::Grabs camera and the kids::: BBL
