It's well deserved praise.. and good job thinking about (and doing something about) the lighting, it made the difference. Did you have auto WB on? That is probably the reason for the differences.. lock it into one setting next time just like you do (or should do!) with the exposure.

Good, then post your results.. love to see other takes/efforts because, in the end, I don't own this technique.

As for me, here is MY latest entry!
Taken during my photoshoot of a newly signed singer/songwriter in Mexico. Her album will come out in April.
Her name is Sofi, you can find her music (until the website is done.. using many of my images!) at facebook.com/sofimayen It's in spanish but the music is still good. I'll post some more images from the shoot in my other thread I posted about this shoot.
I did another one very similar to this but with her guitar which I'll post soon as well. Not sure which I like better.. hmmm.

EDIT: I thought some of you might be interested in knowing that the final jpg of this image after merging and processing was 43.3mb! I could easily do a life-size poster of this and not lose detail.

I always leave it on auto WB and adjust in post since it's easy enough to do with raw. It's one less thing to think about as I'm shooting. My problem was the cool and warm tones within the same frame. (I noticed it most in the top frame)

Nice photo by the way; I like the red wall behind her!
