Wink Church At Night...

This is a shot of a famous Cathedral in Cologne, Germany.....

I saw it was starting to get dark and took lots of shots with in a 30 min period of the sun going down. I finally agreed to this one shot out of many that was taken....

I'm still a newbie to the whole process of photography so bare with me.....lol

The shot was take on Shutter Priority w/ White Balance Auto

NIKON D60, f 5/6, Exposure 1/2 sec., ISO 800, Flash auto, 35mm Focal length 27

Great capture and makes the church look gold with the way the lighting is hitting it. It is most assuredly a keeper of a shot.................

It's a really good capture in terms getting the color right by waiting for the right moment for the sky.. ie just after sunset.

The thing that takes away from this image in my opinion is the fact you composed the tips out of the image .. makes the whole thing feel a bit cramped and chopped off.

Still, great job with the exposure, just a bit off on the composition. Well done.

Nice image.

It lost some of the details, little noisy when zoomed in.
Why you went for ISO 800?
Don't go for that much of high ISO. Use only ISO 400 as maximum if needed.

You use tripod?

About the Tripod...NO, I propped my camera against a light post that was around the area....I like to sometimes use my surrounding to the best of my advantage....
