Default Zooming

first,
i took my camara to the concert,

second,
Im not quite tall so i had to focus on the artist, then raise my hands therefore no heads were inside my photo. As i was raising my hands i had one on the shutter button and the other one on the zoom lense, i changed settings so the aperture was f 5.6 and my shutter speed was 0.3 segs.

third,
I had a 18-55 lense, so as i focused on the artist, i used all the zoom my lense let me (55mm), then i raised my hands, and press the button, as i had 0.3 segs of exposure, i moved the lense backwards getting to 18mm (while taking the photo) and this is why it looks as all the movement is towards the spectator.

Cámara: Nikon D3000
Exposición: 0.3
Aperture: f/5.6
Velocidad ISO: 100
Technique: Zooming

I absolutely quote.

Would you please explain us the technique you used to achieve this result?

Thank you.

I'm not sure if the "messy" look would really work in a different setting, but at a concert it totally worked. You really captured the chaos/beauty of live music. Awesome photo.

Maybe it's because of the exposure time, take care not to make it too long.
