Did you lie down under the tree, with the top of your head next to the trunk and your feet pointing away from the trunk, as though you were a branch or a root? If there were a circle on the ground around the trunk, your body would form the radius from the trunk to the circle. Your camera would be pointing straight up the trunk into the tree.

We have some cottonwood trees (with smaller leaves right now) in our back yard, and I thought about the same thing. The smaller leaves would let more sky and clouds show.

yes i did plan on telling everyone but i like to find out what other people think i did.

I have read the rules.

some of you were close enough. I leaned my back to the tree and pointed the camera up then clicked making sure that you wouldnt see the house.

you pointed your camera towards the sky and pushed the shutter? however, you got it nice capture.
