Default Dead But Not Buried

This has to be one of the strangest burial grounds ever. Many years ago, there was a thriving tuna fishing industry in the Algarve, Portugal. This has long since past but there are still many signs of this once thriving industry. There was a processing factory close by here at Pedras d'el Rei and out on the Barril. These anchors have been partially buried as a reminder of all the local boats that once fished here.

Canon 5dmk2, EF24-70mm @ 50mm, 125th sec at F16 ISO 200. Converted to BW using PS calculations then to quadtone. Sharpened with Sharpener Pro.

I'm in love with this shot. The lighting, the mood, everything about it.

Thanks for your comment. I will try this shot again when the light is better. It was quite a dull day.

I am glad you like this shot. I'm sure I can improve on it when I hope to take it again this year.

What a great shot, Tony, and what a haunting story to go with it.
