Thought I would give this a try last night. I put my home made snoot on my sb600. F/6.3, Shutter - 1/160, ISO 200, 55mm. Cloned out some of my shirt and converted to b/w in photoshop.

While I was trying the Alien Abduction shot I also tried one I saw a couple of weeks ago with the flash directly behind. I know it needs more light spilling over the top but I think it still looks pretty cool for what it is. Thought it fit in this post as well...almost like that's the Alien...

Nice! I like the alien shot but the minimalism of the hooded shot is pretty cool. The other day I tried to get somewhat similar results with a friend of mine as the subject. I didn't have too much time to mess around and it didn't turn out too well. Very nice job.

Thanks...I'm having fun playing around with the off camera flash. Still trying to learn lots (hence my post in the lighting section).
I love the fact that there are so many people on this site that are so willing to help out those of us that are just learning. Thanks again...it's really appreciated
