Default Sunset and Moonrise at the same time???

Considering they happen on opposite sides of the sky, I feel pretty lucky to have been at the right place and the right time for this shot. This is Seattle, and for only the 3rd time since mid-November we had a clear day. I decided to head off to a vantage point of the city to see if I could get a nice reflection of the sunset on the buildings across the water. What I was not expecting was the moonrise over the city at the exact same time.

It took a little bit of walking to get the moon directly above the highest skyscraper, but was totally worth the shot:

Crazy Pretty Sunset

One of the comments I got on Flickr was that I dotted the I with the moon.

I like how the segal on top of that... peak? building?.. anyway, it's like a symmetrical off-set to the moon. Very nice!

What a great shot . Doubt there are many of us who have a shot of the moon and sun in the same shot without using some sort of software . Lovely colours too

That is a really awesome shot. The only thing that would have made it better is to zoom in a little bit so there's no distractions in the foreground.

Thanks everyone!

@Diana1979: I don't know, I kind of like the depth those old pier posts give the shot.
