Hmm.. those mirrors look like a great way to get more light into the shot. I'll have to try that next time I take some more water droplet shots. Thanks for the tips, and excellent shot!

snapdragon,

so cool. I'm completely new to DSLRs and I'm looking for something a little different than just plain old objects around the house. I'm definitely going to try the water droplets. Thanks for the inspiration.

This is great! I wish my camera settings went as high as yours (the only one I have that matches is the ISO, nuts) so that I could try this. Very nice!

Smile Such a great thought process

I'm so impressed by the "simple" setup, and the amount of thought that had to eventually go into it. I, for one, might never have thought of placing the green card for the reflection. The end result on this is awesome, and inspiring. I love the setup in the sink, too. You even inspired me to get my dishes washed, so I can get in there!

Your photo is excellent! I tried this out today.. I'm fairly new at this whole dslr so I was very excited to try this out. My lighting wasn't very great so I had to tweek it up with CS2. The colour turned out a little intense! Thank you for the tutorial. It was very helpful. I'm definately going to try this again and again to get better results!

Default Reflectors

It's good to see you having so much fun with such a simple setup.

For a softer lighting effect, you might want to try replacing the mirrors with white cards. To make a more dramatic image, put some black card, or, even better, some black velvet, in the sink behind the apple. Changing the green for blue might suggest a sky.

Regards,
