I did crop a bit to get the drain out of my shots That was the biggest problem with shooting right in the sink I think if I try this again I'll have to put a plate or something under the water so that I don't get half of the draink

Hello everybody!
Thank you very much for this tutorial. I`ve tried many times and here is the result. I had a big problem: I didn`t know how to make the background blur

What setttings did you use ? F 2.8 or 3.2 will blur the back ground .

For the both pictures above, I use this:

Exp mode: Manual
Focal length: 6.0mm
Aperture: f/2.8
Metering mode: spot
Flash: yes
WB: Auto

For this kind of shots it`s ok if you use zoom?

Thank you very much.

Yes you can use zoom , I do , but be careful not too much , make sure you have focus locked ,I use multi parern as my metering mode , did you use a card to lock your focus , water is clear and hard to lock the focus on . Hope that helps . You have to use something to lock your focus on or the far side of the sink will be what the camera focuses on .I have to crop to get in closer to the droplet I focus on .

Snapdragon - I can't stop doing this now!

If you go to my flickr page (click on the image) I've photographed my set up. It's so much fun but I reckon I can improve further, I'm off up to the bathroom next.

Thank you so much for this tutorial. After reading it I thought I would attempt it.
Being a beginner, this was my first set up shoot and I believe it went well.
Any comments?
