Default Perfume bottle with reflection

This is a good quality (to my standards at least) and interesting way to photograph products for catalogs and things like that:

This is how I did it:

I put a mirror on the ground and a white background behind it. I used two 500W reflectors to give me a perfect white background and another one facing the subject almost directly. I put the bottle in the center of the mirror, then the camera on a low tripod at least 4 feet away from the subject, so you can use a telephoto lens. You need to be a little careful with the framing and that's it...

pd: be careful with the fingertips and dust on the mirror!

Thanks for reading!

Default Very Nice

I love the picture. you can really see the detail in the crystal. The only think I would suggest is in post processing blur the reflection just slightly so that the real object pops out more. Otherwise very very nice.

I love this. Thank you for the "How To" as well.

Given the name of the perfume I thought I might see a reddish hue to the reflection, lol.

Nice photo! It is not easy to keep specular highlights off of crystal/shiny objects.

A really nice shot and thanks for sharing your technique. I have just begun to get interested in macro photography and have purchased work lights for my lighting as well. I purchased 250 watt lighting but I think I am going back for the 500 watts as well. I have been shooting through a home-made soft box and the lighting with the 250's is just too soft.
