I don't have a shot to share, but I have a question on how I should put one together.
I have a group of images of a panoramic view I took while on vacation, now stitching them together isn't a problem for me. The issue is, I would like to HDR this pano. I have 9 different exposures of each shot, Should I HDR each shot, then attempt to stitch them together or should should I stitch them together and then attempt to HDR the panorama. Any thoughts on this subject would be greatly appreciated. disco |

My 2 cents - You could batch process your shots so that you are sure they are all the same exposure, then stitch and then HDR process. it's probably a lot easier if you shot them in RAW too.

I always do the HDR first then do the pano. Unless the shots are absolutely perfect the panos will stitch slightly differently then have a harder time aligning in the HDR program.
This shot is 3 wide and three deep (-3, -1, +1). ![]() LARGER VERSION This one was generated from single RAW files, making three exposures in PSE 5 then HDR done in photomatix and then panoed in PSE5. ![]() LARGER VERSION |

What I would do is stich all your photos to make the panoramic, would then duplicate the panoramic in to 3 photos... ( I usaly just copy and paste from the folder the photo is in to the desktop just modifing the file name ei. Img001_1 Img001_2 Img001_3 ) Once you have done that drag them to photomatix and just fine tune it to your tast.

Typically speaking you need software capable of doing this (Photoshop). There are probably tons of others out there that can do this. Just have to find one withing your budget. I have never used Gimp nor PS Elements but they may do this as well. Basically you tell the software what photos to stitch and it does the rest (more or less). You can try and line up the photos yourself with a image editing software and blend the images together. But the ease of doing this depends on how well the pictures are and if you used a tripod to align them. Hope this helps
