Great shot of the Queen and light house! I lived near there for many years and visited Shoreline Village frequently. Do they still do the fireworks off of the Queen Mary?

I took multiple shots to try and get the exposure down as it was dark and the lights from the restaurant gave conflicting exposure readings. I used photoshop to try and get some good color and contrast and add the moon from earlier in the night. As well as manually put the pano together.

Amazing shot! The moon is a little too big though.

Never been to the fireworks show in Long BEach but pretty sure they still do it.

Also, other than up and down the different piers in the area it's really hard to find places to photograph.
You could heading on up to the mountains. Haven't tried it other than Big Bear.

If anyone has any great spots please share with us.

Thanks

Beautiful! Soon as it warms up a bit, I plan to start trying some night photography.

It is a gorgeous picture but the moon doesn't look right to me either. The coloring is off and there is no reflection of it in the water.
