Default What to say when the bride wants a discount...LOL

Saw this link on a Flickr group I belong to and had to post it here. Hilarious! #21 made me literally laugh out loud.

Cool...I wish I had these last week when a mother of the bride called. After sending her a DVD and price lists, she email me back. See response.

Dear Jim,
Thank you for following up and getting in touch. We have found another photographer - a former college friend of my daughter's.
Sincerely,
Maggie

Everyone that knows me on DPS, can just imagine what my response would have been had I wanted too

I got an e-mail the other day (for my photo booth biz) that said:

I'm having a suprise party for my husband and want to rent your booth. However, it's a Friday night and I figured you'd offer a discount for a Friday night, and we only need it for 2 hours instead of your standard 4...can you give me a price quote?

Response:

We're unavailable.

If someone isn't going to pay $875 for your services, they're probably not going to pay $700 either. Instead of giving them a high quote, telling them no is just easier and better for your image.

That doesn't even make sense. Why would Friday nights be slow?

Because I rarely have photo booth jobs on Friday. 95% of them are on Saturday (weddings)...very rarely will I have a wedding on a Friday or Sunday.
