Default indoor studio questions

I have a room on my third floor that is about 10 ft wide . I am thinking about making this my studio indoors because the ceiling is higher than where I have it now. My backdrop will be placed directly infront of a double window . Is this ok? should I cover the window with a black curtain when taking pictures? I also have another Double window about 30-40 ft in front of where the backdrop will be. I am worried about the window behind because of shadow..This is whee I really need advice because I really do not know...Is it ok to have windows in your studio???/ any advice is GREATLY APPRECIATED

Generally you are going to want to completely control your light... including light from either window. In some situation you may have a use for the light from the window behind the backdrop...but most of the time I would think not.

A studio starts out as an empty room much like a blank piece of paper. Your needs and style will dictate the furnishings. The Santa Clause photos and baby photos in shopping malls is a good way to see how to set up a simple studio. Cheers and all the best!
