I may cheat a little and ask two questions on your response, you pick..

If they are shooting at 1000 to 1250 iso and getting 500th how much do you/they under expose by? or is the lighting just that good there? (I have only gone to one NBA game and I was so far away I have no idea! haha)

or

How fast do you try to get your shutter speed too? I know there can be a trade off between ISO and Shutter speed (clean vs stopped action) but I have to believe that there is a point of diminishing returns on the shutter speed or is there?
