Default Online photography courses

Hi,

I just got a new SLR camera and was thinking about taking a online course and found two that are very similar.

The Photography Institute
The Photography Institute

New York Institute of Photography
NYIP - Photography | Photography School | New York Institute of Photography | NYIP

I was wondering if anyone had a recommendation.

Thanks,

Mark

I can't give you any specifics about either one since I haven't tried them. I have heard a few mixed reviews - some love, some not impressed - but a lot of people will tell you they learn just as much from the web. Of course, you will get feedback from the teachers of these courses which may prove valuable to you.

Maybe I'll start teaching an online photography course

I've actually been thinking of taking an online photography course once I finish the current course I'm taking (not photography related). I've been learning a lot just from reading on the web, but for me, I really need a teacher to give me feed back, and critiquing.

I'll be very interested to see what people have to say about any online courses that are offered.

ETA: If anyone on here decides to give an online course, I'd be very interested.

This forum is really great, I'm learning a lot reading all the post. I was just looking for something a little more structured. Since I don't have a lot of free time a online course that is self passed makes a lot of sense for me. Both of those programs are very similar so I'm having trouble deciding which one is better.

to - Max - yup...I'll even give you the "cat-of-nine tails".
to - Algernonep - something I've been thinking about.
