Hello All!
I am a bit confused. I posted a picture in the critique section earlier today to get some feedback on my photography. I posted it as a Flickr link. Later in the evening i checked back, and the forum post was deleted. Did i do something wrong? thanks

Another possibility, the spam filter on the site only saw a link to an external site and figured it was spam. Nobody wants to click into a thread and then click onto another site to see the picture you want us to look at. If you want people to critique an image, the least you could do is post the image and not another link.

judging by your statistics page, the thread does not exist (only this one shows up)
Additionally, my first thread was in the critique section as well, and I didn't embed the picture, just included a link. After a fellow DPS-member pointed out my error I fixed it, but the thread still exists. Could it be that there was something in the title, or the post that was either offensive or irrelevant? Or was it perhaps a nude shot you wanted critiqued (as those are housed in a password protected section of the forum, for obvious reasons)? Hope this helps a bit

I can see the deleted post and there are a couple of problems with it - the picture should be included in the post (easy to do from Flickr when it is your photo) and there should be some information about the camera and settings.
I've fixed both and restored the thread. However, please take a moment to read the FAQ which gives both the rules and also help on posting images. Normally we do let new members know why when posts are deleted but sometimes there are too many to fix and there isn't time. We try and fix stuff so that it doesn't sit there creating a bad example for the next person, multiplying the problem. Wulf |
