Schmap

Hey, this morning I was e-mailed that one of my images have been selected to be in the Florida Keys photo short list. I did a search and I found out that quite a few of you have your photos in Schmap. It seems like most everyone is happy with it. Has anyone had a change of heart or is the consensus still good?

Photography is just a hobby of mine and my intent on making money off of photography is very very low.

I had a photo or 6 on Schmap and it's fine, but understand that they have hundreds if thousands of photos picked up via flickr and you're not going to get anything out of it. It's an illustration, not a job opportunity, so as long as you're cool with that your relationship with Schmap will be a happy one.

I let them use one because I was excited at first and just starting out with photography. I've gotten a few more request since but have denied all of them. I don't think its a good way to get yourself known so I'd rather not let them use my pictures to generate money for them while I don't see a cent.

I've got a couple on there. They link back to my flickr page, so I'm O.K. with it. But if I ever get really good........that'll be another story.
