Default fun camera comparison site

I got this from some photo-related site that is sending me emails... :P

Snapsort

it's actually not that bad if you want to quickly compare some specs on two cameras. Of course it doesn't factor in price.

OH... MY.... F'n.... GAWD....

What a worthless pile of O)(&#)&%)& site.

Perfect example.

Nikon D5000 vs Nikon D3 - Snapsort

really? Honestly?

There's no *BLEEPING* way that I'd sell my D3 for a D5000 because it has video and a flash.

It may not factor price, but what it does factor is nothing of actual value.

I like how they get the same rating for "Fast action/sports shooting". I don't know why all the sports photogs have been hauling D3's up and down the sideline when a D5000 would do just as well. :P

This was actually the first site I came across when I was(/still am) doing my digital SLR shopping....it's like it's come back to haunt me....

Not bad. Might prove useful for some people. I would not base my winner/loser comparo off of this, though. It's all subjective.

Why would you want to compare a $5000.00 full frame pro camera to an entry level consumer model DSLR? Makes sense this does not.

oops... haha sorry.... I don't know enough about different models than mine to really judge it, and yes, it's a VERY simplistic approach. I figured for quick glance at differences it may be helpful for some, and if the reason one model "wins" over another is a feature you aren't interested in, then you are probably well beyond using a site like that.

Maybe because according to the site, to entry level camera is better than the "pro" camera.

So, it does makes sense to compare the 2 to see if the site has it's head directly up it's ass.

And it clearly does.
