I live in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and we usually get some nice thunderstorms here and I've chased one through the city but due to the fact that the tornado was rain wrapped I couldn't get anything decent out of the trip other than the adrenaline rush.....I was wondering though if anyone else has gotten great shots of super cells? Tornadoes? Anything of the sort just nothing like the aftermath of the storm I've seen plenty of that and its kinda sad I can only imagine what it would be like to lose everything...
Also any suggestions on lenses (mm) to shoot with or any filter suggestions??? I just want to experiment and be prepared for this spring! (sorry if this post isnt in the right place)

Storm chasing is some of the most fun you can have, I'd know, I'm from up around Enid.
Living in Stillwater currently. I'd try either a wide angle or a 200mm zoom lense so you don't have to get up close. The best stuff to shoot is right after the storm, capture the emotion of people, capture the destruction.
