Default Ladies and gents, when you are comparing two or more things the correct word is "THAN

Ladies and gents, when you are comparing two or more things the correct word is "THAN" not "Then."

I try not to be curmudgeonly grammatical but this one drives me NUTS!

sk66, I think he means it in the sense of "A is better than B". In which case, "than" would indeed be the correct word.

How do you know what he means?

I imagine you are correct, just being difficult...

This is the curiosity of text.. intent/meaning is easily misinterpreted. One must be VERY clear in communicating...

It bugs me too, but it's pretty low on my list of grammatical annoyances. Incorrect use of past participles is one that really gets me.

Strictly speaking, *THEN* isn't part of the comparison but indicating you're drawing a conclusion about your comparison.
