Not sure who to direct this to really so I'll just mention it here. Ever considered having some sort of mentoring system?
While trying to improving my photoshop skills I joined a community that has regular competitions for beginners and advance users. There was a thread on their forum where the "Advance Users" could offer up their knowledge to the beginners who requested a mentor. They set a time period of 2 weeks and within that time you had to enter at least 2 competitions, with the help and guidance of your mentor. It was all done through PM or email (if that's easier). You'd pick a competition to enter, then they would help you decide what sort of image to create, then give you feedback on your progress until you were finished. I found the whole experience very useful while trying to learn photoshop skills. It wouldn't have to work exactly the same way. You could use the DPS assignments as a starting point, or you could decide between yourselves on a subject and go from there. I think it would help people like myself (beginners) to learn more efficiently and would benefit the teachers as well ... they say one of the best ways to learn is to teach ![]() Would any of you be happy to offer your help? Would anyone want the help? If so maybe someone can start a thread which will achieve all of this. That's all it takes! Thank you! |
