Posting pictures

Hi , i'm new here, only been like 1 week.
Can anyone tell my why when you post a picture that some of them post right away, and some have to go thru a Moderator before they can be posted....I just don't get it..
Can we only post so much pictures in 1 day???

If your post has to be approved it's probably because you're a new member. We had some bad spamming a while back and now the anti-spam thing catches the occasional legitimate thread. So if you see that your post is waiting for approval that might be why. We try to get to them as soon as possible though, and they usually get caught if there's a link in the post.

And the number of pictures you can post per day varies per area.
Share Your Shots : 4 (plus an additional 4 once you get at least 2 replies from other people)
Critique : 1 per day (includes all critique sections... so you can't post 1 in people and 1 in architecture)

Thanks Nicole...Now i understand, some of the post had my link to my website...probably why it got caught.....I'm new to photography and just started my own photo gallery site.I join DPS to try to improve on my photography, but it's hard to when you pnly have a
Point&Shoot..lol!!!! (Working on a Canon Rebel T1i)

For some reason the system really likes you, you've had a couple threads tagged.

I know, every time i try to post a picture, it tells me a Moderator is gonna appove it before it can be posted. I even posted twice for the assignement thinkg the first post got deleted.
Could it be because i had included a link to my website that i get tagged by the system???
