Default what comments have stuck in your mind

From someone viewing your pictures?

Has there been a comment that has stuck in your mind through the sheer audacity of it, or the humour behind it, the fact you hear it often and it grates on you or the kind thought behind it?

Im so nosy.

Think the one that im getting fed up with hearing now is "Cor your camera is good! What is it? Im going to get one too so i can take photos like yours!"

Im taking it as a compliment

Well, the comment that sticks in my mind goes the opposite direction of what you are asking... "The winner of the portrait of the year is Andrew Smith".

Considering the quality I was up against I still can't believe my image was considered better!

Just going off to polish my trophy now as the wife says I've got to put it in a cupboard (like that is gonna happen!)

Just the other day I was showing my little cousin of 10 years old some of my work. When I got to a picture of a red rose she told me that she didn't believe it was mine. It looks like it was done by a "professional." =)

lol! that very same thing happened to me! I had just finished editing some nature shots the other day, and my brother walked by and looked at them and said "You stole that one, it's too good." Love you too, bro.

Quote:

hehe this is a good thread

the one that sticks to my mind is when i first got into photography, not many people knew i got into it. i didnt flaunt it.
then i started posting some of my work on facebook and i had one friend say" i didnt think you were serious when you said you're into photography - i just thought you stole a professional pictures off of the internet"

well i took that as both an insult and compliment
