Default Exhibit Info

I recieved this letter today, its the info for my gallery show in Feburary.

Hi Mark,
I'm getting some of the prep work together for your exhibit in February. Here, I've outlined all of the dates for the show and have a list of the things we'll need from you in order to proceed.

Hang Date: Tuesday, February 9 or Wednesday, February 10 (let us know what works better) between 10-6
Exhibit dates: February 13 - March 7
Opening Reception: Saturday, February 13 : 1-4 pm (let us know if there are any problems with that time/date)
Retrieval of Work: Sunday, March 7 or Tuesday March 9.
Our business hours are Tuesday-Saturday 10-6 and Sundays 12-5.

What we need from you:
•a minimum of 3 images of work that will be part of the exhibit (for the postcard, website and email announcement) We would like to have these within the next week or two if at all possible so we can get your postcards ordered in ample time.
•we will need a title for your exhibit.. (or we can just use your name, whichever you prefer)
•Any websites you would like us to link to from our site that show your work, so we can help promote your work
•total # of postcards you would like to have to mail out/distribute (I will design and order the postcards and we will mail to our list as well)
•An artist's statement (there are many examples on our website if you need ideas)
By having an artist statement, title and images, it will help us to have materials to use to promote you and your exhibit. We will create a postcard, email announcement, press release and web page for your exhibit. And of course, we will take care of tags for the exhibit. Please be sure to have a list of all of the work brought it, including title of the work, medium, and price (or NFS). You can also do this after you hang if you prefer. If you'd like to have any additional comments about the individual pieces, I can easily add that when I make the tags. If you need help with anything in the list above, please do not hesitate to ask. We are here to help!

I think this may turn out pretty cool. Still burning up the lines between myself and Mpix, but I think I'm getting pretty close to having it together.

Mark

Thanks. I too have an exhibit coming up. But I know that the requirements are different. They've already let us know about print size and mounting. They use a standard mounting frame and we just have to adhere to it's size requirements as well as matting and mounting.

It's kind of exciting to be part of an exhibit, isn't it? Good for you. Glad you are included.
