Default Photography is your passion, what is your job?

Hello. My other thread isn't getting the kind of feedback I was hoping. So maybe I asked the wrong question.

Everyone here, I feel it is safe to say, loves photography. Some are career photographers, some aren't.

If you are a career/professional photographer:

What is your job and how does it relate to photography?

I'll start: I'm currently a SAHM. I plan to study photography.

Thanks!

I'll have check that out in more depth later. (Migraine!)

Maybe I should specify I'm asking about those that consider "photography" their career.

I'm a professional photojournalist. I shoot spot news andgeneral news events, sports action, sports features, pictorials, features, illustrations, portraits, environmental portraits, landscapes, pictures stories, documentaries....pretty much everything when it comes to photography.

Because of the decline in editorial photography In the near future, I'll have to gear up to shoot weddings (I hate weddings.such a pain in the ass, but there's money to be made), kids, pets and adult portraits.

I'm a bit of a professional, as I make a bit of money with photographing. I'm for hire, and every now and then I sell one or two photos. My real profession is software engineer, and after some years of work "in the field" I'm now back in academic circles working on getting a Master of Science degree.

As I said in the other thread:

Okay, no. The name was just a stupid thought.

I did double degrees in Commerce and Law, and worked as a commercial lawyer for many years. I'm 'semi-retired' in the field, even though it's not close to mid-life crisis, and do almost full-time shooting for weddings and portraiture. I also write a fair bit.

With out getting too in depth I am in the IT industry, and I really enjoy it. I just get very torn in what direction I want to end up as it is a very broad field. I how ever originally studied graphic arts and I have ran a dark room in the past thou which was very enjoyable. So I may take photography on as more of a profession but who knows where life is going to take you...

I'm an Architect / Interior Designer. Photography has been my hobby for around i think 5 years already. And I can safely say that it has become a passion for me. Photography and music actually. I don't make any money from photography. But i wouldn't mind if i do. hehe.
