Yes, I resolve to go out in the field and try out more photography, even in the simplest of places. This year it seemed that just because my schadule was more tied up than usual, I didn't go and practice the practical part of photography.

List you say? May we know the contents of this list?

I second that I'd love to see this list of topics, maybe you can provide some inspiration for others of us on the forum.

I am making the resolution to make more time for my photography, this is including going out at least twice a month on a full day excursion somewhere new, or somewhere old to have a better look, i also plan on buying a Dslr, but not sure of which one yet, and it wont be until march at least, so hopefully prices will drop nicely,

ike,

Yes and No, No because I'm not going to practice a new technique.

But yes, because I want to take more and more pictures.

I resolve to resolve the resolution of the resolution. Sorry

Ok, I resolve to create a portable photography package- to include many of the parts I'm building for the cameras, such as the panorama mount, the various tripods, exposure calculator, batteries, chargers, viewscreens, lenses- I'm sure the list is longer. I want to end up with a package that will stand as a tripod, and can be opened to reveal the various parts nested in their homes. The part that opens might be where the viewscreen is attached. Close it up with all the gear shock protected inside, fold the legs in, and either carry it like a suitcase, or sling it on my back. A detachable 'day pack' would sling underneath it to carry foodstuffs and water for the day.

My biggest challenge with this is going to be to keep it compact and efficient. I do tend to over-engineer things, but since I've learned the hard way how much effort it takes to carry too much stuff, I think I'll be able to get a pretty good handle on this.

My resolution is rather newbie like. I really want to understand the basics of photography. I've done the whole point and shoot thing for ages, and with my really nice camera I think it's time to understand the basics. It's driving me completely nutters that the book my grandmother gave me as a companion to the camera says "it also assumes you have a basic understanding of things like focusing, shutter speeds, and f-stops." Yeah, those would be the basics that I know *nothing* about.

I'm starting a threesixtyfive with self-portraits on January 1, 2008, which I suppose is a New Years resolution in and of itself.

Otherwise, not really.

Hoping to buy eventually: A long long long time from now, maybe I'll get the Nikkor 70-300mm AF-S f/4.5-5.6G VR or a Nikkor 18-200 AF-S f/3.5-5.6G VR.

Default I resolve to...

try to cram as much as I can into my brain when it comes to photography. I would also like to be able to take compliments better.

I don't make Resolutions, because I know that I won't keep them.
