It is the third oldest camera body in the current Canon lineup (oldest are the 1DIII and 1DsIII). I smell a refresh at PMA coming... The XS essentially used updated XT/350D technology with the XSi as the then-current entry-level. So, my guess is whatever replaces the XS is going to spec out pretty closely to an XTi, but with a few T1i improvements thrown in.

Hmm, interesting. I got mine for $500 back in august.. I wonder if this is just another sale, or if like inkista said, somethings going to replace it?

Can't imagine what they'd replace it with. The T1i has the same specs as the 50D, with video and a sligtly smaller body. The differences between the T1i and the 7D aren't that spectacular...faster fps, cross-focal points, better noise reduction...but hard for me to justify the $800 or so difference.

I'm waiting for the sub-$2000 full-frame. And my wife's permission
