Default Photo selected for Adoramas "Photo-zap" - results here...

Kinna neat - was excited when I got the Email that my photo was selected for critique by 3 former editors of Popular Photography Magazine - then I went to their site and found that these guys don't pull any punches .. What did I get myself into ???

Anyway - today was the review, and I didn't take it in the shorts too bad.. They kept talking about seeing 'action' or movement, but that's kinna hard when the subject is coming AT you...

Here's the link ..... feel free to comment on the site also...

PhotoZAP 21: Revved Up from Adorama Learning Center

Thanks,

Lotta people looking but no comments. Went to the link and didn't know what Adorama was. Now I'll have to spend some time there also!

LOVE the shot !! I used to ride these beasts in addition to taking pictures of races in Germany. I worked as a sports photographer for a newspaper for a couple of months, and wanted to travel some more so I left. The way you got them lined up is nothing more than pure professionalism. It's amazing that you say you only had this camera for 4 months before shooting this picture. Were you new to photography, or just digital?

I looked at some of the other photographs that were critized and it appears they really like yours. Thats a good thing and you should be proud.

Again, amazing picture and .......... stay off the track!

That is a very nice shot and you got some great criticism from "the professionals" on it.

Great Shot & Great Critique!

If you were trying to show the speed, then yes you would want a wider composition but i see the close proximity of these racers and the battle to get the corner position...

sometimes the shot of sweaty boxer in the corner tells as much of the story as the punch landing on the chin...
