OK, this isn't that crazy but here goes. I was in Bodega Bay with a friend and we were walking along a trail next to a cliff that had flowers and ice plants hanging over the side. I'm not good with heights but really wanted a shot with the flowers and the beach below in the background. So, I leaned over, a little farther out than I normally would have or actually should have, while my friend held me up by the back of my jeans. Anyway, this is what I got with my little compact point and shoot. It's not super amazing but I like it and got the shot that I wanted.

I stood in the middle of the road for 30 seconds for a picture once.. it was just a 2 lane highway and really, really quiet so I could hear if a car was coming to get out of the way. But I was still a little on edge in case a car came quicker than expected...
Hmm not that crazy, but I'm still newer at this! |

Once followed several cars full of cops to a raid. I was pulling into a park to eat my lunch as about a dozen cops were piling into multiple vehicles. It was obvious they were going on a raid. I wrestled with whether to follow them, but then decided to just go for it and turned around followed them out of the park.
I followed them about a mile until they all pulled over to the curb, jumped out and ran up to a house. I parked behind them got my camera out of the trunk and shot for about half an hour. The raid itself was uneventful and no arrests were made. They didn't kick the door in or anything. It was a raid on a massage parlor based out of a home. Got hassled by one of the officers, no big deal though, I wasn't in the way. A local news station bought the shots though so it was a profitable lunch break.

Other than getting chased by a gator, and stuck at by snakes, this was taken during my stupidest shot.
One day we had overhead waves. I went to the beach to check them out, and saw this yacht that had lost power and drifted into the rocks. It was pretty much gone, but I wanted to get some closer shots of it. I climbed down the rocks, and thought I had the waves timed to get a few shots. Needless to say a clean up set rolled in, and I was chest deep in water, getting slammed into the rocks myself. The only thing that wasn't soaked was my D80. The shot I took was lost in a past hard drive crash. I dug this one up that I had posted on a surfing forum.

A mate once had to pull me back or I'd have fallen off a 1500' hill with about 1000' of vertical directly below us.
The shot came out nice though.....looks like is was taken from a helicopter

Sitting on the skeds of a helo taking pictures and the pilot decided to take a hard bank right to avoid gunfire coming up from the left. Since I was on the right hand side and unexpecting the high speed turn, I was thrown off the skeds and the only thing that was keeping me from falling earthward was the gunbelt which was attached to the helo.
