Default What did you recieve this Christmas?

So, who got some new camera equipment, or just something really awesome all together!?

I'll start I suppose.

Got a Canon 580ex Speedlite and a Hoya ND400 filter. Got a lot to experiment with now!

Aside from the remote I picked up with my secret santa gift card, my Christmas turned into a country music song.

I'm just going to leave it at that.

velvet4269,

Record it, play it backwards: your dog will come back, the bank will return your home, all the money you lost in Vegas will magically reapppear in your account. At least, that's what I've been told.

Anything a photography forum can help with?

I got a ball head for my tripod with some gift money. I'm thinking of getting the vertical grip for my camera as a self-gift.

I bought a SB600 flash for myself and got a tripod from my dad.

Nah. Although if you play it backwards, I end up with a Toni Braxton song, so that's something I guess

At least I got my remote And I splurged part of the Christmas gift my dad & grandmother sent on a spare battery (much needed) and some "macro filters" ... for $20, they'll be worth trying, but I don't have high hopes for them.

velvet4269,

(Not going to ask about "Unbreak My Heart") Looks like your equipment add-ons are practical and will allow for better sharper shots. New year, new perspective. Hope you can refocus.
