Well I got a Sigma 10-20mm lens and it has been on my camera all day. Some really good pictures, well I like them.

Yeah - I tried to find a magnifying glass, but couldn't find any that didn't have a bifocal stuck somewhere in the lens - not very practical when you're trying to do closeups & focus.

So here's hoping It's certainly more affordable than the $500 macro lens I've been eyeing.

I got a Nikon 50mm 1.8, and the weird rubber lens hood. That's all the camera stuff I got.

I also got some power tools, multitudes of cloths, and a most tasty bottle of Gray Goose.

Santa brought me:

and

(I must have been a good girl)

But it's such a massive jump from what I've been used to that the camera & software terrifies me. I want to be able to demonstrate to my lovely Santa that he hasn't wasted his money but it's going to take me a long time.

You say "and a D300" like it's a throwaway? Even if I didn't have it yet, I'd STILL be on the front lawn in the snow, doing cartwheels and kissing strangers....you are one lucky, lucky guy....hope it's all you hoped for....
